SWARMS REVEAL PUBLIC CONCERN OVER TRUMP’S MENTAL HEALTH
Swarm Intelligence is a new form of A.I. that combines computational algorithms with the collective wisdom of real people in real-time. This was better than experts at Rolling Stone, the LA Times, Rotten Tomatoes, even FiveThirtyEight, none of whom did better than 67%.
Next UNU was challenged to predict the Kentucky Derby by TechRepublic. UNU didn’t just predict the winner — but predicted the first four horses, in order. This is called the “Superfecta” and it went off this year at 542 to 1 odds. This means that anyone brave enough to bet on the published predictions won $11,700 on a $20 ticket. Simply put, UNU has proven itself to have deep insights. This is why UNU’s latest revelations about Donald Trump’s mental health is so concerning. Researchers at Unanimous A.I. randomly selected 67 voting age Americans and asked them to work together as a Swarm Intelligence using the UNU platform. The group was a mix of political parties, with 42% identifying as Democrat, and 58% percent identifying as Republican or Independent (in-line with national averages).
In fact, as a unified system – this emergent intelligence was not pro-Hillary. For example, when asked to evaluate how trustworthy Hillary Clinton is, the Swarm Intelligence went very negative, quickly converging on “Not Trustworthy At all”. You can see a replay of that result below:
While a negative result, there is generally high skepticism on trustworthiness of politicians. It’s a rare candidate that scores high on this metric. And in fact, the same swarm produced the same result when asked this question for Donald Trump. But again, neither outcomes are that unusual when it comes to public opinion.
What is unusual is the Swarm Intelligence’s response when asked about Trump’s Mental Health. The question was very simply worded – “Do you have any concerns about Trump’s Mental Stability”. As can see in the replay below, the swarm intelligence quickly converged on a shocking answer – “Extremely Concerned.”
Researchers at Unanimous A.I. looked at the underlying data to better understand how this swarm of 67 voters tapped their collective wisdom to reach this result. As shown in the Faction Analysis graph below, a whopping 76% of participants were either Very Concerned or Extremely Concerned over Trump’s mental health. Even more surprising, only 6 to 8% of participants expressed “no concerns.”
It’s unprecedented for the Presidential nominee of a major political party of the most powerful nation on earth to inspire such intense and widespread concerns over his basic mental stability. This suggests a deep unease in the American public about the possibility of a Trump presidency. In simple terms, the collective wisdom of the voting public is that Donald Trump may be unraveling mentally and people are scared, including many who agree with his political positions.
