With League of Legends on Hiatus, Sportspicker AI Looks to Build On Hot Start in Overwatch League
Last week, the Sportspicker AI data science team continued its impressive foray into Esports. It produced a strong set of picks for both Overwatch League (OWL) and League of Legends (LOL), going 10-4 across all its picks. You can see the details HERE.
Looking to build on last week, the Sportspicker AI team leveraged the Swarm AI system to make another set of 10 OWL picks this week.
Please keep in mind that we are still tweaking our AI algorithms for OWL, so it would be wise to proceed with caution. We will update this post with results, so please check back here to track our progress.
As a bonus, we have also attempted to figure betting odds into the equation this week. See the two charts below for Sportspicker AI picks, vis-a-vis the betting odds. The left chart is straight up picks, and the right cart is against the spread. The picks in bold are the ones where we believe the AI has found an EDGE.
UPDATE: Straight up picks were 7-3 this week, so we know we have some solid raw intelligence. However, the odds-weighted picks were just 1-4. So there is still some work to do.
