There’s an old baseball adage that say good pitching beats good hitting. If that’s the case, the Major League scoreboard is likely to see an awful lot of goose eggs tonight. Friday’s schedule features three recent Cy Young winners (Clayton Kershaw, Dallas Keuchel and Rick Porcello) as well as a number of other hurlers who are posting outstanding seasons for their respective teams. Can the UNU Baseball Swarm hit that big league heat?
Tuesday’s swarm struggled to a .500 record overall, but there was still profit to be made if you stuck strictly to the group’s highest-confidence picks. Those two picks stood out from the others like a skyscraper in a wheat field. For tonight’s games, the swarm has another handful of picks it feels strongly confident in playing.
Of all the great pitching matchups today, the best might be in the Lone Star rivalry series in Arlington, where the Rangers host the Houston Astros. Yu Darvish has been terrific this year, but the Rangers have been a streaky, inconsistent team all season. They’ll face Dallas Keuchel and his gaudy 8-0 record and sub-2.00 ERA. The swarm saw that – and the Astros riding a 9-1 record over their last 10 games – and made this contest their lock of the night.
Every week during the MLB season, Unanimous A.I. will be conducting swarms to pick the outcomes of games. If you’d like to either join a swarm or just get the predictions weekly, feel free to drop us a line below.
