With just a month left in the Premier League season, it seems likely that Manchester City have the League title all sewn up. Spurs and Liverpool both being 10 points clear of fifth-place Chelsea likely means that Champions League berths for next season are all but locked-in too. With little drama at the top of the table, perhaps the relegation fight at the bottom of the Premiership offers the most drama these days.
West Bromwich Albion came into the 2017-18 EPL season off a 10th-place finish last year that could have been even higher had they not lost every match in the final month. This season hasn’t been any kinder, and the West Brom board have sacked two managers en route to a 3-win, bottom-of-the-table season. The task gets no easier on Saturday, when they travel to Old Trafford to take on Man United.
It is a busy week for United. After their home match with West Brom, they travel to Bournemouth for a midweek match before squaring off with Tottenham next Saturday in the FA Cup Semifinal. Although this Sunday match could be a bit of a trap game for the Red Devils (who come off a stunning win against City last weekend), the Swarm expects West Brom to offer little enough resistance. In the replay the magnets form rapid agreement, making pick-of-the-week United the winner of one of only two matches selected this week at high confidence.
