Who will win the first Presidential Debate? We asked UNU…

Let’s be honest for a second. No one knows what’s going to happen on Monday night when Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton face off in the first Presidential debate at Hofstra. Even with a seemingly endless election cycle, when we’re drowning in information about the candidates ( except what’s in Hillary’s emails or Trump’s tax returns), it’s anyone’s best guess how this long-awaited debate will unfold.

One thing we do know, is that almost everyone you know will be watching. In fact, some experts are predicting that Monday’s debate will rival the Super Bowl in terms of viewers. And, as you might expect if you’ve spent some time in UNU debating the issues of the day, our Community, will absolutely be tuning in on Monday night:

how likely to watch debate?

If you’re not familiar with UNU, you should know that it is a Swarm Intelligence platform that allows groups of people to think together in real-time. Modeled on the natural biological processes that allow fish to school and birds to flock, UNU loets people think together as a swarm,  and the participants converge on answers that maximize the conviction and confidence of the group. In this way, group sentiment is revealed, making it a perfect tool for evaluating popular events like the first Presidential debate.

Perhaps the biggest unknown is how Trump will react to the bright lights of the Presidential stage. Trump obviously thrived in the Primary debates, easily dominating the GOP field en route to the nomination. But now he faces his most difficult opponent in Hillary Clinton. So we asked UNU, which version of Trump should we expect to see on Monday?

how will trump behave in the debate

As you can see, the Swarm expects Donald Trump to employ the same aggressive style that carried him to victory over the massive Republican field. But, the Swarm sees a different outcome from those Primary debates which transformed Trump from a spectacle into a political force. In fact, when asked who would benefit most from the first showdown, the Swarm was quite decisive in its prediction:

who benefits most from debate?

The first Presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton is one of the most hotly anticipated events in the most unpredictable elections in memory. No one – not even the Swarm – knows exactly what’s going to happen on Monday, but there’s no better place to watch the fireworks than in UNU. Join us for what will surely be a night of political theater to remember.

We’ll be live-streaming the debate in UNU and hosting a simultaneous AMA on Reddit See you there!
