Sometimes at the end of a sports season, the schedule is full of teams going through the motions with nothing to play for. That’s absolutely not the case with tonight’s NBA lineup, though! Tonight’s slate of games is full of teams from the Western Conference logjam, where with just a couple of games remaining, two games separate ninth place from fourth place. Even in the East the playoff seedings aren’t completely set in stone, which means that in most games the NBA Swarm predicted for tonight there’s at least some postseason motivation at work.

In the wild, wild Western Conference, Denver sits in ninth place, just one game out of the playoffs. The good news for them is that the swarm picked the Nuggets to prevail in a must-win game against a tough Portland team. The bad news for them is that the swarm predicted all of the teams Denver must leap-frog to also win tonight. In fact, one of those teams – the San Antonio Spurs – is the NBA Swarm’s pick of the night.

The NBA’s Western Conference is so close that even the sixth-place Spurs are in a must-win situation tonight. They are one of five teams vying for four playoff spots, and one of those teams is going to be knocked out by a single game.
