Swarming MLB: AI Pick for Game 2 of the World Series

SWARM AI PLATFORM RELYING ON VERLANDER IN GAME TWO

Last night’s World Series Game 1 swarm took a hard look at Clayton Kershaw and his supposed playoff curse and declared it a myth. The swarm made the Dodgers a favorite with fairly strong conviction, and Kershaw and his teammates paid off that faith with an outstanding pitching performance en route to a 3-1 win and a one game to zero lead in the 2017 World Series.

Tonight’s game is a fascinating one, pitting the Dodgers’ Rich Hill against Houston’s Justin Verlander. Verlander has been every bit the ace the Astros hoped he would be since being acquired at the waiver deadline, while the crafty southpaw Hill has been very solid all year long. The swarm’s prediction for tonight’s game is much murkier than last night’s pick. Essentially, tonight’s game all comes down to Verlander. If he pitches deep in to the game (the swarm picked him to do that), then things look OK for Houston. But if the Astro bullpen needs to get involved by the sixth or seventh inning, things don’t look too hot, as the swarm thinks they look pretty shaky. In the end, the Swarm went with the Astros, but the lack of confidence in the Astros bullpen was reflected in the swarm’s output. So, while the MLB Swarm foresees a close game being won by the Astros, there might not be enough conviction in the pick to act on.
