The four day All Star Break coming up next week gives Major League teams a chance to take a long, appraising look at performance to this point in the season. Part of every good team’s process is looking at ways to amplify strengths and successes…while figuring out how to overcome the kind of challenges that every squad faces across a long season.
For the research team at Unanimous A. I., it’s no different. The UNU MLB swarm has returned positive results on the season, but there’s plenty of room to hone the process and get even better. Last week’s swarm was perhaps a turn towards improving recent form. Although the overall result was seven wins against seven losses, in the six games ranked as high or medium confidence the swarm predicted four of six correctly. Here’s how the UNU Swarm sees Friday’s action.
We’re guessing you don’t need the UNU Swarm to tell you that Max Scherzer pitching at home for the Nats against the Braves is probably a strong confidence pick. A much more intriguing heavy confidence selection for the swarm is the game tonight in Tampa, pitting the visiting division-leading Red Sox against the Rays.
Although it’s not as well-known a rivalry as the one Boston has with the Yankees, the animosity here is very real, and goes back to the days when Joe Maddon was the Tampa Bay skipper. These franchises always seem to have spirited battles, and tonight’s matchup looks very close on paper. It almost seems like an even match on the pitching side, so perhaps it’s the potent offense of the Red Sox that made this a high confidence pick for the group.
Every week during the MLB season, Unanimous A.I. will be conducting swarms to pick the outcomes of games. If you’d like to either join a swarm or just get the predictions weekly, click the button below.
