Tonight NBC’s singing competition, The Voice, features perhaps its single most interesting evening of the entire competition. This evening’s episode will make one final cut of 4 contestants, leaving a final four for the ultimate showdown next week. By sending home half of the competitors, there will be some tough decisions involved. Here’s how the swarm thinks things will be decided.
The Unanimous Voice Swarm has stayed resolutely in Brynn Cartelli’s corner throughout the competition, even when she may have been coasting a bit through earlier rounds. In fact, the top four for the swarm stay steady this week. That makes it a pretty clear prediction for our group on the top four to make it into the Live Finals extravaganza next week.
Throughout the weekly swarm process, both Brynn and Britton Buchanan have been at the top of the hill. Obviously the hook of the show is the way it relies primarily on pure vocal talent, and for the swarm that’s been a big part of Brynn’s edge over the field, as shown in the replay above.
And though vocal talent is great, an ability to deliver a great performance and arrangement can’t hurt, and in the replay above the swarm reveals why Britton has followed closely on Brynn’s heels the last few weeks. And if you’re paying attention to both of those replays, you’ll notice that even when there’s a split opinion on those questions, the split is between two competitors: Brynn and Britton.
Unanimous will be fielding swarms throughout 2018 to track the sentiment of the American public and to identify the trends and behaviors that are shaping our future. If you would like to stay informed of our research, sign up below.
