If you’ve been following the Swarm’s March Madness adventure, you know our researchers invited the highest performing individuals from our Round 1 experiment to form a “High Performer” Swarm to predict the Sweet 16 matchups. Now that those game have been decided and the Elite 8 is set, it’s a good time to see how the High Performer swarm’s bracket is doing. How does the top 3% of all brackets on ESPN sound?

Just as saw last week, we saw our Swarm A.I. technology amplify the intelligence of a group of average basketball fans beyond even what the experts could produce. Now, we’ve seen the same thing at the Sweet 16, where our high performers correctly predicted Florida’s improbable run and UNC’s dominance, beating nearly all but three percent of the more than 3,000,000 brackets in ESPN’s Second Chance Challenge.
