Swarming MLB: UNU’s Picks for May 3rd

A quick glance at the MLB standings after the first month of the season tells the tale of the UNU Baseball Swarm’s picks thus far. With more almost 20 teams orbiting around the .500 mark, the members of the weekly swarms have had to dig pretty deep to try to make their most accurate predictions about which teams will rise above that even mark…and which ones will start to move down.

Unanimous A. I. has observed the UNU Swarm go through both winning streaks and losing streaks this year. The hypothesis is that as the season goes along, the swarm intelligence will find a level of consistency. To that end, here’s what the group picked for Wednesday’s games.

One game the swarm felt a lot of confidence in was a road game featuring the Braves playing host to the Mets in Atlanta. The dichotomy in this game should be something to see, too. For New York, they’ll hope their young flamethrower, Jacob deGrom, can lift them to a win. The Braves counter with the ageless Bartolo Colon, who’ll try to work whatever magic he still can craft. The swarm thinks this game will be a mismatch favoring the Mets, but hopefully we’ll get to see Colon take a couple of at bats – still the most entertaining thing in the Major Leagues.

Every week during the MLB season, Unanimous A.I. will be conducting swarms to pick the outcomes of games. If you’d like to either join a swarm or just get the predictions weekly, feel free to drop us a line below.
