For most of the NBA season, Golden State has occupied the top slot in the west, with the Celtics reigning atop the East. Other clubs have made runs at those top spots, but with the season just past the halfway point, those two clubs have proven to be pretty resilient. There’s action in the league at the top of both conferences tonight, and the NBA Swarm considered those games and others being played this evening.
This week, the NBA swarm’s pick of the week came down to either Houston playing at Dallas or Toronto against the Hawks in Atlanta. There are a lot of similarities in these two games; both the Raptors and Rockets are in second place in their respective conferences, and playing on the road this evening against poor-performing teams that will be in the draft lottery this summer. In the end, the swarm chose Toronto for their favorite prediction.
In the chart, you can see that when the NBA Swarm considered both the Toronto and Houston games as separate entities, it put marginally more confidence in on the Rockets. But the replays above show that when it came to predicting the game winners, the swarm actually found consensus just ever so slightly faster with their Toronto prediction. That may have been a contributing factor for the NBA Swarm to have selected it as the pick of the night.
