Swarming the NHL: AI Picks for Week 11

When a swarm of sports fans gets together on our Swarm AI platform, the reasoning behind their picks may come in several different shapes. Maybe they like one team’s coaching more. Maybe they think one team has a stifling defense, or potent offense. Sometimes, however, it’s simply a feeling that one team is far inferior in recent play and simply can’t win. Taken all together, our weekly NHL swarm came up with these predictions for tonight’s hockey games.

The swarm’s pick of the night is definitely one where the chief criteria may have been “Anyone who’s playing Buffalo or Arizona.” That’s certainly fair. Both of those clubs have struggled all season long and are in the NHL’s cellar. For tonight, however, with both teams at home the swarm definitely likes Boston’s chances in Buffalo a little more than Florida’s at Arizona.

In the replay above, it’s pretty clear that although Boston has had their own issues at times this season, right now they look like much the better team to our group in this matchup. The magnets pretty rapidly move to the Bruins’ side of the hex, and they choose a 2-goal margin of victory – always a sign of confidence that moves a game up the list. The swarm also put almost $80 in a hypothetical wager on this one, and chose it as their pick of the night.
