Though much of the basketball-loving world will have their eyes glued to March Madness craziness tonight (here’s the Unanimous AI bracket, btw), there’s a full schedule of NBA games on tap as well. We’re in the final month of the season, and teams eyeing the postseason have begun hitting on all cylinders, while clubs that have lost momentum are beginning to plummet. The weekly swarm of NBA fans considered those factors and made these predictions for tonight:
You could’ve knocked over most NBA observers with a feather if you’d have told them in November that by the final month of the season, the two hottest clubs in the league would be Portland and Utah. Although the swarm once again went with Houston as their safe pick of the night, Utah – who hosts Phoenix tonight – came in a close second for that honor. Here’s why:
For the past month, the Jazz have been beating all comers but barely gaining in the standings because the Western Conference is insanely competitive. Utah is finally in a playoff position and look like a team that no one wants to face in the first round. They’re taking on the Suns tonight, and the swarm likes Utah a lot in this spot. As the replay above shows, we get a “high confidence” win prediction, in this case by 10-12 points, followed by a $100 betting confidence on the straight-up win. That slots it in only a tiny bit below the swarm’s very confident Houston pick.
Every week, Unanimous AI publishes predictions made by its Swarm AI platform. Want to have those picks delivered to your inbox?
