Look. I’m not much of a gambler. I’ve never been to Vegas and I didn’t even buy a Powerball ticket. But, as part of the team here at Unanimous AI, I’ve been following UNU’s predictions closely. And, when the Swarm predicted last year’s Super Bowl prop bets, I was the guy who opened a Sportsbook account to lay the money down.
Those bets produced a “incredible 23% ROI” and I was psyched. Any hedge fund manager on Wall Street would be thrilled with that kind of annual return, and UNU had produced it in a single afternoon. But, I never cashed out my winnings, and so the money was just sitting there in my online account. Until last weekend…
After seeing 75 average fans using UNU crush ESPN in predicting the College Football Playoffs, I decided to play UNU’s picks for the 4 winners of the NFL Wildcard Weekend. As I said, I’m not much of a gambler, so I didn’t make a very large wager. But, because I was feeling confident in UNU, I decided to try a parlay, rather than betting each game individually. That meant my small bet could win a relatively large payout, but if the Swarm was wrong about even one single game, I’d lose the whole bet. For the record, UNU’s picks for the Wildcard Weekend were recorded HERE.
And this is what it looks like when 25 people think together in UNU
So, what happened? If you’re following this blog, you know that UNU predicted that, all four road teams would win their playoff games. Not only is that unlikely, it’s never happened in NFL history. Scratch that. After four crazy games, and one heartbreaking missed field goal, the Chiefs, Steelers, Seahawks and Packers all won their road games. And, most importantly, I won my bet.
So, yeah, I was pretty happy. Let’s do the math:
- Initial bet: $20
- Winning payout: $158.24
- Return on Investment: an absolutely insane 691%
- Chances that I’ll bet against the Swarm: 0%
Swarms are forming on topics of all every kind. Drop us a note below and we’ll send you an invite to the UNU Beta.
