New Documentary from Universal Pictures explores the Future of AI:
| A documentary by award-winning director Leanne Pooley reviews the long-term dangers and benefits of artificial intelligence. Entitled “We Need to Talk about A.I.” and launching on Amazon Prime this week, the film features luminaries from many fields, including filmmaker James Cameron, physicist Max Tegmark, and our very own CEO, Louis Rosenberg.
The film is a thoughtful review of the dangers posed by AI as well as an exploration of how humanity can mitigate those risks going forward. One method that is addressed in the film is the use of “humans in the loop,” ensuring that human values, morals, and sensibilities are not lost from AI-powered systems. Dr Rosenberg talks about how connecting groups of people together can provide the benefits of “super-intelligence” without losing humanity from the decision-making process.
