It’s the first NFL Sunday of the season. And around the world, NFL Fans are getting ready to see how the season will unfold. Earlier this week, we asked our Swarm AI system to predict how it will go.
First we asked who would win each of the NFL’s 8 divisions. The chart below shows the probability of each team winning its divisions. Some of these races are tighter than others, but the most likely winners are:
- AFC East – Buffalo
- AFC North – Cincinnati
- AFC South – Jacksonville
- AFC West – Kansas City
- NFC East – Philadelphia
- NFC North – Detroit
- NFC South – New Orleans
- NFC West – San Francisco
Next we asked which teams would be the most likely to represent the AFC and NFC in the Super Bowl. As you can see in this chart, the Swarm AI system gives the highest probability to a repeat of last year’s Super Bowl, pitting Kansas City against Philadelphia. Note that we see significant probabilities of other teams leapfrogging those two. But according to the Swarm AI system, that is the most likely outcome.
So if we get a repeat of Eagles vs. Chiefs, who wins? The Swarm AI system says Philadelphia this time around! Will it be right? Time will tell. Now grab your popcorn and get ready for kickoff…
