The Swarm AI Guide to the 2021 Oscars

Using AI to Forecast Oscar Night:

This Sunday is the 93nd Academy Awards and for the fifth year in a row, Unanimous AI used our award-winning Swarm software platform to predict the winners.  As we have done in previous years, we generate these predictions by inviting a group of randomly selected movie fans (not professionals) into the Swarm platform and combine their knowledge, wisdom, insights, and intuition using our Swarm AI technology.  We’ve averaged over 90% accuracy over the last 4 years, outperforming professional critics, and hope to achieve similar success this year as well.

Below is a complete breakdown of all of the major awards.  As you can see, the Swarm platform predicts a big night for Nomadland, which has emerged as one of the strongest favorites for Best Picture that we’ve seen in years.

Here also is a look at how the Swarm AI system analyzes the information and generates a “scaled ranking” of each nominated film, forecasting its chances of winning each award against the other films it is up against.  As you can see in the charts below, Nomadland is a very strong favorite against all contenders for best picture.   As you can also see, the tightest race of them all may be Best Actress which looks like a three-way toss up between Carrey Mulligan, Frances McDormand and Viola Davis.

Of course Swarm AI technology powerful for a lot more than just predicting the Oscars. The Swarm platform is used by Fortune 500 companies around the world to optimize business forecasts, financial predictions, sales estimates, and market research.  The United Nations even uses Swarm software to predict famines in hotspots around the world.  And for sports fans, Sportspicker uses Swarm software to generate optimized predictions daily for professional basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, and football, as well as some college sports.  For more information about Sportspicker AI, click:
